STABILOY® Type MC Cable

Alcan Cable’s Type MC Cable is designed for above-ground applications. It is engineered to include all of the characteristics of a pipe and wire installation, but in one tough and rugged assembly.

STABILOY® MC Cable consists of either three or four insulated phase-identified conductors plus a bare equipment grounding conductor inside interlocked aluminum alloy armor.

The unique construction of STABILOY MC Cable provides significant savings in installation time and cost.

  • Meets the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., Standard #1569 for Metal-Clad Cables and Standard #44 for insulated conductors
  • Conductor insulation is free of harmful heavy metals in compliance with RoHS, Directive 2002/95/EC
  • Approved for use in service, feeder and branch circuits in accordance with the recommendations of the National Electrical Code®. Also approved for use in cable trays.
  • Recognized by ASTM in Standards B 800, B 801, B 836 and B 901
